CBNCloud Connect Collaborates with KOMITKABE to Host Technology Innovation Discussion for the Future of Indonesia's Manufacturing Sector

Cikarang, September 25, 2024 – In support of Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045—where the country is expected to become one of the world’s top five economic powers—digital transformation in the manufacturing sector plays a crucial role. To contribute to this vision, CBNCloud launched CBNCloud Connect, a dedicated event designed to introduce the latest technologies to industry leaders, aiming to boost efficiency and global competitiveness.

Bringing together members of KOMITKABE, an IT community comprising over 300 members from various companies across Bekasi, Karawang, and Purwakarta, this edition of CBNCloud Connect adopted the theme TECH INNOVATION: “Elevating Manufacturing's Future: Harnessing Digital Harmony for Enhanced Business & Security.” The event highlighted the importance of integrating cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation in the manufacturing sector, supported by EDTS (Enterprise Digital Technology Services), PT Cyberindo Aditama (CBN), and PT CBN Nusantara (NEX Data Center).

Held at Holiday Inn Cikarang Jababeka, the event gathered IT professionals from the KOMITKABE community and featured a comprehensive exploration of technologies such as cloud computing, cloud security, the Google Cloud Platform, internet connectivity, and data center infrastructure. The goal was to provide in-depth insights into how these technologies can harmoniously collaborate to improve business efficiency and data security within the manufacturing industry. Attendees were encouraged to explore recent innovations and understand how adopting these technologies can positively impact their operational performance.

Natalia Dwi Arientowati, General Manager of CBNCloud, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of collaboration and technology adoption in addressing global challenges:

“In today’s increasingly competitive global landscape, efficiency and security are the two key pillars to maintaining a competitive edge. Through CBNCloud Connect, we aim not only to educate about cloud technology, but also to present a comprehensive ecosystem of solutions that include internet connectivity, data security, and infrastructure tailored to the specific needs of the manufacturing industry. Our hope is that CBNCloud Connect serves as a collaborative platform that helps companies accelerate their digital transformation journeys, creating more efficient and secure operations.”

The event featured several expert speakers sharing their insights on the latest technological advancements.
Vanda Anggi Liani, Cloud Architect at CBNCloud, presented comprehensive strategies for dealing with cyber threats and highlighted the importance of cloud implementation in business operations:

“Cybersecurity has become a major concern in the manufacturing sector, especially when it comes to securing factory operations. With solutions such as Data Backup & Disaster Recovery, Email Security, and comprehensive protection through Network & Security services—including Firewall, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and Web Application Firewall (WAF)—cloud technology equips companies with the tools to defend against cyber threats. Cloud computing not only offers operational flexibility but also advanced, layered security.”

Following this, David Krisna, Principal Cloud Consultant at PT EDTS, explained how Google Cloud provides security and efficiency for the manufacturing industry:

“Google Cloud has proven to be a highly flexible and secure platform to help manufacturing companies manage their data more effectively. With features like Gemini-AI, end-to-end encryption, AI-based monitoring, and automated infrastructure management, the platform minimizes the risk of data breaches while enhancing operational speed. These capabilities are particularly relevant for manufacturers that rely on precision and speed in their processes. As a Google Premier Partner, PT EDTS is deeply committed to implementing these solutions to support operational continuity and data protection.”

Erni, Head of Business at NEX Data Center, emphasized the importance of reliable and well-managed infrastructure in supporting industry growth:

“At NEX Data Center, we have been committed for over 15 years to delivering reliable services with a 99.98% SLA. We continue to enhance our infrastructure with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), enabling automated monitoring of infrastructure performance. This allows us to quickly and accurately meet our customers’ operational needs. With enhanced physical security, strict access systems, and responsive support through various channels, including the NEX App, we believe that data centers will continue to play a vital role in supporting business growth.”

Meanwhile, Yura Adi, AVP Corporate Solutions at CBN, highlighted the vital role of internet connectivity and IP services in supporting the digital ecosystem:

“The internet is the backbone of any digital transformation, and at CBN, we provide high-speed internet solutions and reliable IP transit to support manufacturing activities. We also offer comprehensive DDoS protection to secure networks from disruptions that could impact factory operations. Our managed services, including SD-WAN, provide companies with greater flexibility in managing their networks, ensuring smooth business operations in the face of digital challenges.”

Beyond being an educational platform, the event also created opportunities for collaboration. Through interactive discussions and presentations, participants gained deeper insights into how technology can be implemented to improve operational efficiency and data security in business.

With CBNCloud Connect, CBNCloud reaffirms its commitment to supporting the manufacturing sector in navigating the digital era. Digital transformation is no longer optional—it is essential for staying relevant and competitive on the global stage. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly toward realizing the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision through the adoption of the right and innovative technologies.
